Why do some of us fail to "get better" despite all our inner work? Our most feral, protective complexes hold the key to our wellbeing-- & they desperately want our attention.
Sitting with discomfort instead of denying pain creates a container to hold what might want to be pushed away. Cradling suffering with tenderness allows space for feelings to emerge without judgment. Such an important reminder, thank you, Laura.
Abandoning hope is a concept I came across in a time when I thought hope was all I had. When I read it, I closed the book and didn't open it for a while. I still struggle with that one, but that's probably because it's too true. Thanks for writing this. x
Love this Laura! Feels very timely for me as I navigate certain friendships ending, learning to embrace solitude all while trying not to have my inner daemon demand that I completely lose faith in humanity and the relationships I do have. Thank you for sharing x
Thank you so much, Smriti! I have had you on my mind this week, missing our conversations in Satya’s classes. Always appreciate our connection and your reflections. 💜

Appreciate you and how you work with these complexes in your clients so much! 💚

Well-said as always, Anne! 💜

I think this is a topic that needs a post all of its own! So much to say. Your comment brought TS Eliot to mind and I had to look it up:
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing;
wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing;
there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
Not only are you a beautiful soul and a fabulous yoga instructor, you are a wonderful writer. Thank you for this.
Appreciate you so much, Kristy— thank you!

Love our connection, and hopefully see you in one of Satya's courses again very soon. You're a star of a human, with so much depth and integrity x
