Thank you for sharing this and putting words to a feeling I also experience (working in healthcare as well). I've spent a decade+ internalizing and personalizing every concern in the workplace and trying to avoid the difficulty by getting ahead of it, only to find that I was just expending so much energy that I didn't have enough for myself. Now that I've been rebalancing my approach, I have energy to do things that I otherwise wouldn't have. I remember reading that complexes contain great energy, and I've experienced that as I've continued to work with and through my own perfectionist. Thanks again for voicing this.

Thank you so much, Julie! You said this so brilliantly-- trying to avoid the difficulty by getting ahead of it, only to find you were expending so much energy there wasn't enough left for yourself. So familiar! Kind of mind-boggling exactly how much energy is bound up in these complexes that we just can't quite *see* until it suddenly becomes obvious (though everyone around us may have been able to see it! ๐Ÿ˜‚). Thank you so much for reading, and sharing your thoughts-- it means so much!
